Show Notes

A number of years ago, when I was doing a show called "Mornings at McFarlanes", I thought to myself "I wonder if there's versions of Christmas songs done by local artists that would put a different sound out there for the Holidays?"  It was sort of a  crazy idea but after all, how many times do you have to listen to the same versions of the same songs playing before you say "can we go back to regular music now?!?!?!"

But as my wife will tell you when I get an idea in my head, it's not in my foot (as the saying goes).  So I reached out to a local musician I know, Beth Kille and asked her if she knew of any musicians out there that had covers or original Christmas music.  Well Beth alone had two Christmas albums but then she reached out to her "peeps" and found a whole bunch more artists with songs that they were happy and some were even THRILLED that someone wanted to get their music out there.  So you'll hear music from The Kerosene Kites (Beth and her collaborator Eric Kjelland),  Smitty Kringle, Milkhouse Radio, Michael Bryant, Sunspot, Cory Mathew Hart, and Emily Mulo.  You may not know them by name, but you should recognize several of the songs. But more importantly,  will hopefully  enjoy this special Christmas Present . . . Podcast.  Be well - R
